Digital X-rays at our Tampa Chiropractic Clinic

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays

Digital X-ray systems offer fast, clear, and accurate imaging that benefits both you and your chiropractor. At Active Family Chiropractic, we have digital X-ray technology right here in our office, so there’s no need to go elsewhere for imaging. Your results are available instantly, allowing your chiropractor to review them with you during your visit.

By displaying your X-rays on a monitor, we can walk you through the images and point out any areas of concern in a way that’s easy to understand. We’re proud to offer this advanced diagnostic tool as part of our commitment to providing convenient, effective, and personalized chiropractic care.

X-rays are a valuable diagnostic tool in chiropractic care, but they are not always necessary for every patient. Chiropractors use X-rays selectively, based on your symptoms, medical history, physical exam findings, and clinical judgment. Here are some common situations when X-rays may be needed:

When X-rays Are Typically Recommended:

1. After a Traumatic Injury

If you've experienced a fall, car accident, or sports injury, X-rays may be needed to rule out fractures, dislocations, or other serious structural damage.

2. Persistent or Severe Pain

If you have ongoing or intense pain, especially in the spine, neck, or lower back that isn’t improving with conservative care, X-rays can help identify underlying issues such as joint degeneration or spinal misalignments.

3. Suspected Spinal Conditions

Certain conditions, like scoliosis (curvature of the spine), arthritis, or bone spurs, are best evaluated with X-rays to determine the extent and progression of the issue.

4. Limited Range of Motion or Neurological Symptoms

If you're experiencing stiffness, reduced mobility, or symptoms such as numbness, tingling, or weakness, X-rays can help determine whether structural issues in the spine such as misalignments or disc degeneration may be affecting your nerves or joint function. This information allows your chiropractor to create a more targeted and effective treatment plan.

5. Posture and Structural Assessment

In some cases, X-rays are used to assess posture, alignment, and spinal curves to help customize a treatment plan.

At Active Family Chiropractic, we follow guidelines to determine when X-rays are truly necessary. Your health and safety are our top priority, and we only recommend imaging when it will provide valuable information that directly contributes to your diagnosis and treatment plan.
